Steps to Reproduce
- Player A places one or more cakes on their plot.
- Player B enters Player A’s plot and remains nearby.
- Player A leaves the game or switches to a different Neighborhood/server.
- Before the plot fully disappears, Player B quickly takes a cake from the plot.
- Player B receives the cake successfully.
- The original cake remains available and is not removed from Player A’s data.
- Repeat the process to duplicate additional cakes until the tray inventory is full.
Explanation
I discovered a duplication exploit involving food items (cakes) and plot synchronization.
When a player leaves the game or switches to another Neighborhood, there appears to be a short delay before their plot is fully removed or synchronized. During this delay, another player can still interact with food items placed on the plot and take them.
The issue is that the original owner does not lose the item, while the second player successfully receives a copy. This allows the same cake to be duplicated repeatedly until the receiving player’s tray inventory is full (approximately 21 trays).
This exploit can be abused to generate large amounts of food items without consuming the originals and may negatively impact gameplay balance.
