Harvest Pad link maximum range UX improvements
There is a mechanic in the game of Harvest Pads having a maximum range. It is mentioned in only one place (as far as I can see): when making a link from a pad and hovering a building that is beyond the range (which happens very rarely), the cursor changes to red with a cross, and a tooltip says it's beyond the max range of the pad. What the max range is is not mentioned.
When moving pads or buildings links are silently broken, with no warning or confirmation. The line UI from building to pad simply disappears which can be difficult to notice, and therefore difficult to understand the import of. Which results in players not knowing the link has been severed or why.
Suggested changes to help the player understand this mechanic:
- Mention the range in the hover popup of hubs.
- While moving a hub or building, change the link line to red when out of range, and show a tooltip by the mouse explaining a link will be severed as placing the building here will make it out of range of the hub/building.
