Limited power to force efficiency

There should be some kind of limit to force the player to optimize production.

Suggested example:
Output generate a sort of credits that add up.
Each building uses those credits as power.

So when fully optimized production chain is net positive.
A bad optimized one is net negative.
You kan add a difficulty level to change the experience.
Novice = credits off => in hard mode each chain needs to be fully optimized.

Credits are earned when goods are delivered.
Of course there would need to be a minimum power even when all credits are out to avoid breaking the game.
Then the buildings running at low speed (20-30%)

It has to be more awarding to optimize the chain.
