I often need to count how many cranes are along a side, to make sure the ratios are all correct. It can be quite difficult to tell one crane from another--especially if there are cranes from different buildings all next to each other. So I usually resort to using the delete tool, just to be able to hover over cranes and see where they connect back to, and count them that way. This would be easier if I could just hover over the building itself and its cranes would be part of its outline.
