Machines warn when they receive the wrong input, cranes don't. This makes sense as cranes can just let unwanted items pass.
But it would be nice if there was a warning if a crane has been hovering over a stationary item for a while, because then it is likely not supposed to be there.
Alternatively enable such a warning only when the conveyor is not attached to any destination, because then its only purpose is feeding the cranes.
