I would love to play on the new map, but really do not want to have to start the leveling/tech progression from scratch. I simply don't have the hours available in my life to do that. I would love the ability to export/transition a save file from one map to the other.

I completely understand that the buildings and such could not transfer, but it's so much faster to simply rebuild and/or plop down blueprints than it is to work through the entire tech tree progression again.
