Independent Authority for County Board Members in Project Ventura
Once the rank of County Board Member is reached, it should be detached from departmental structures such as FCPD and HCSD. The rank itself is called “County Board,” and, similar to real-life oversight bodies, its members should be independent from any department. This separation would help ensure impartiality and reduce potential bias when carrying out their duties.
Currently, Law Enforcement Officers are heavily dependent on SBI, as they must request SBI involvement when a civilian requests an investigation. County Board Members should be granted similar authority to SBI. This would improve roleplay opportunities, as the CBM rank is primarily earned through experience and progression (excluding Founder subscribers). As a result, CBMs are generally experienced players who are capable of conducting investigations and reviewing the actions of LEO personnel.
Even if the proposal for a fully independent County Board team is not adopted, the powers and responsibilities of County Board Members—and other highest-ranking department members—should be clearly documented on the wiki. From a gameplay perspective, they already possess most of the necessary tools and permissions, similar to SBI. Clear documentation would ensure that these powers can be exercised consistently and without confusion.
