Assault Class Field Perk: Enemy Suppression Effect

Could the assault have a field perk that provides some suppression affect for the enemy? This might mean that the LMGs and other less accurate weapons might see more usage and a different play style could emerge, creating more team based play. It would give the assault class a bit more character as well.
I suspect there might be technical limitations/complications with creating a suppression affect but thought it’s worth asking
