Gadget Concept: Remote Surveillance Camera (Recon/Sniper Class)

Description:A tactical utility gadget for the Recon class consisting of a deployable micro-camera and a handheld tablet screen. It provides localized situational awareness and intelligence gathering without risking the player’s safety.

Key Mechanics & Controls:

• Deployment: The player manually throws or sticks the micro-camera onto any solid surface (walls, trees, vehicles).

• Activation: To view the feed, the player must physically equip and hold a tablet device, drawing it from their inventory.

• Vulnerability: While looking at the tablet, the sniper’s peripheral vision is heavily obscured, and they cannot hold or shoot their primary weapon, Secondary only (Pistol).

Balancing Parameters (Anti-Abuse Measures):

• Limited Battery Life: The camera has a strict battery limit of 60 seconds of active transmission.

• Smart Battery Consumption: The battery drains only when the sniper actively holds the tablet and looks at the screen. Putting the tablet away pauses the battery drain.

• Counterplay (Destructibility): The deployed camera emits a faint lens flare or a quiet electronic hum. Attacking players can easily spot and destroy it with a single bullet or explosive.

• No Auto-Ping: The camera does not automatically spot or 3D-ping enemies through walls for the whole team. The sniper must manually communicate enemy positions via voice chat or the in-game ping system while looking at the tablet.

Gameplay Value:

This gadget reinforces the Recon's role as a data-gatherer on large-scale maps. It rewards clever placement in high-traffic choke points or flanks, allowing the sniper to monitor their own blind spots or gather intel on an objective before moving in.
