Steps to Reproduce
- Use PC VR or stand-alone VR setups.
- Observe the impact of latency on gameplay.
- Note that people with bad latency have an advantage.
- Experience being killed repeatedly by low-skill players.
- Confirm excellent internet connection.
- Ensure friends also have excellent internet connections.
- Always choose low ping servers when playing.
- Test the effect of choosing high ping servers.
- Notice becoming unkillable with high ping servers.
- Conclude that the issue is due to garbage code.
- Research other PvP games to see how they handle connection quality.
- Consult software designers and game developers for their opinions.
- Understand that the issue is recognized as a problem.
Explanation
Ever since the last update. Unplayable laggy mess. Maybe try fixing it. Netcode favors people with garbage ping. Shoot enemies, drill them in the head for a few seconds. Grenade launcher to the chest and it explodes. No damage, no death. They survive. Then kill you. Also, firing grenade launcher before they kill you, and suddenly, even though it made the sound, goes off, and the projectile comes out. Disappears. Because the net code decided that they killed you first. Afterward. Kill lasers going through solid objects. The after death that shows the direction you were killed from. And the other half of the time, those lasers are nowhere near where you are. You can be five feet behind cover where you couldn’t even reach over with your arm and touch it. Still, you are dead. These things are due to garbage net code. Really bad on stand alone for many, and worse on pc vr. Till it is fixed im just gonna tell people don’t buy.
