edit the most recent build mode update. I think the placement roof and walls should be how they were before by default THEN if you press T then it goes to the box placement and then the chain placement. For the transform a lot of players prefer the old way of transforming basic shapes and structurals so i suggest it could be a setting to go back to legacy transform tools OR it could be edited to be legacy placement, then pressing T to go to only transforming then pressing T again to go to only rotating.
