Steps to Reproduce

  1. Hold sufficient expenite in inventory for next upgrade
  2. Kill artifact entity and retrieve crystal
  3. Deposit crystal and expenite at the same time
  4. Select artifact, no upgrade

Explanation

I may be mistaken, but I think that when I deposited an artifact crystal into Ellis along with enough expenite to earn an upgrade, I got the artifact but the upgrade was skipped.
