Game Screen Locked After Upgrading Choice

Steps to Reproduce

1. Select an upgrade from the 4 listed choices
2. After choosing it froze after 'selected' displayed
3. It didn't move on to the next screen
4. It is stuck frozen on this screen and I had to hard exit/close the game

Explanation

The screen is locked. I can move the mouse and some UI interfaces light up when moused over, but I cannot select or act on anything.
